HIVE: Altenum Wars Patch 1.14

The latest patch is here with thousands new lines of code and tons of new assets! We tried to listen to the community feedback in order to deliver what you expected for this update.

New map and game mode: Guard

One of the most repeated request was to add more maps and more gamemodes. Well, we did both by creating a new map that includes a new game mode. This map is an old rusty space station in which you need to escort a payload in her way to the enemy base in order to explode it and win the game.

New Character: Olivia

A New Character has been added to the roster. Olivia, Tactical officer of the UFG, specialist in strategy and control of the situation. It is equipped with a technologically advanced armor. She studied at the UFG academy, one of the brightest minds. Characterized by professionalism, and seriousness, it is difficult to get her to show her feelings. Despite Olivia and Jacob are great companions, there is a great rivalry between them.

New Weapons

With the new character, new weapons had to be done specially for Olivia. But not only that, we added new weapons to other character aswell we do some balance to the current ones.

Olivia Weapons:

  • Floating Mine (Throwable) – Small mine that floats and activates when touching with an enemy
  • Gravity Singularity (Special ability) – Anti-gravitational area that leaves without gravity every enemy that enters it
  • Sniper – Military weapon of instantaneous reach and great precision. It does x4 of damage if you do a headshot
  • Healing Link – Establish a link that cure the linked ally
  • Chaser Rocket Launcher – Fires rockets that can modify their trajectory in order to chase the objective
  • Double Electro Shoot – Shoots two electrified balls that will stun the enemy that has been hit
  • Old Weapons added to Olivia: Rifle, Bouncing Rifle and Machinegun

Other Characters With new Weapons

  • Archer: Blades – Sequence of three air cuts combining fast movements
  • Jacob: Double Electro Shoot – Shoots two electrified balls that will stun the enemy that has been hit
  • Sidi: Point Attractor (New throwable) – Ball of energy that can attract all enemies close to it
  • Sidi: Healing Link – Establish a link that cure the linked ally
  • Khloe: Dron (new special ability) – Deploy small intelligent robot that will chase and shoot enemies around

New epic skin: Cow Mulok

We are very thankful to the whole community during the first weeks of HIVE. We have been playing a lot with other hexadiers and looking all the funny moments that appear on our game, that’s why we want to make a special gift to our community with that skin.

This skin can be unlocked for a limited time, and represent the fights between the factions of #TeamCow and #TeamGoat between users on the social media. Players were divided on a fight where they want to claim the origin of one of our hexadiers

New Trophies

We noticed that a really small percentage of players were able to unlock our trophies, we have realized that our current trophy system was not fair and sometimes it requires a high amount of hours and skill to get some trophies, so we refactor most of these trophies and also make it more fun to achieve. The current trophies are not about how long you play HIVE, instead are about do rare things on uncommon situations. Like kill someone after your death, teleport 4 people at the same time, spend more time sprinting in a game than dashing, or do a 5 headshots killstreak with the sniper, among others.

HIVE: Altenum Wars patch 1.00 to 1.13 recap


It’s been something more than a month since the HIVE: Altenum Wars was released on PlayStation 4. Since then, we have been working non stop for improving the game and fix all the bugs that appeared. We leave here the most important changes we made on the last 12 updates.

Also, a new big update is comming for the next day 22 of June, with big news, so stay tuned for more information!

Patch 1.12 – Adding Tournament Configurations

  • Tournament System Update:
    • New system to create custom matches. You can now unlock all characters, skins and weapons, ban characters and modify the time/points of the game.

    • Tournaments now accessible via password (4 digit code from buttons and directional arrows).

Patch 1.07 – Hot-Fix emergency patch

  • Fixed critical bug on Matchmaking system that don’t allow players play online due to the overload of server calls

Patch 1.06 – Extending leagues

  • Added groups to the ranking system
    • Each league have an specific amount of groups, for example, altenum league have only 1 group of 20 players, Gold have 3 groups of 30 players, Silver has 6 groups… until Rust league that can have unlimited groups of 100 players.

Patch 1.04 –  Leagues System Update

  • New Ranking system splitted by leagues
    • Ranks are now divided into 5 different leagues (Altenum, Gold, Silver, Copper and Rust)
  • Added a voting system for selecting the GameMode to play in the Lobby
  • Fixed matchmaking errors that players try to join a NULL session
  • Fixed loader bug that shows incorrect game mode information at the begining of the game


Patch 1.03 – Level progression patch

  • Adding an error code to the error dialog
  • Fixed the bug that don’t allow players to unlock new characters

Patch 1.02 – Completing the HIVE roster

HIVE v0.9.41 Patch Notes

Version 0.9.41 has been released and with it a lot of changes that will give HIVE: Altenum Wars a fresh and dynamic new approach! Despite this, this version is still an Alpha version in development, and therefore, multiple errors can appear, as well as lack of clarity in some aspects of the game. Below we will detail some of the most important changes since the previous stage of “Testing” was finished a few months ago.

Most important changes:


  • Split screen of up to 4 players (Only with gamepads)
  • Integration with Gamepad
  • MACOSX version (experimental)

Main menu:

  • Redesign of the main menu with a simpler and more dynamic aesthetic adapted for both mouse and gamepad control.
  • More complete settings menu in which the sound settings already appear.
  • Auto calibration of video settings using an initial benchmark


  • Redesign of the lobby with a simple and minimalist aesthetic adapted for both mouse and gamepad control
  • Texturing of some of the characters
  • Redesign of the skills configuration section
  • Chat in the lobby
  • All the characters that are united at that moment in the lobby are displayed
  • Possibility of changing game mode


  • New game mode King of the Hill.
  • New map “Altenum Lab” for the new game mode.
  • New weapons and skills
  • New particle effects
  • New system of medals


Known errors
For error tracking we have prepared a board where you can see all the known errors so far and that we have intention to correct.


HIVE v0.3.22 Patch notes

The new HIVE update is now available! Below we detail all the improvements and corrections of this version:

New functionality:

  • Now it is possible to enter the middle of a game already in progress, without having to go through the lobby. In this case, you will have your character and the skills chosen in the “Defaults” section of the “Profile”.
  • Support for Windows 32bit.
  • Improved the performance of the Menu.
  • Improved the performance of the hexagonal map.
  • Automatic calibration of the video settings for a better experience.
  • Self-detection of the recommended quality.
  • Connection time to the game now expanded.
  • Improved the stability of the connection.
  • Invisibility no longer appears on the minimap. Neither is the trace of the dash visible when you are invisible.

Bugs fixed:

  • Only 10 records were shown in the leaderboards, now 80 are shown.
  • Problems with premature departures of a player solved.
  • Fixed the Gravity Hammer bug by which it left the character indefinitely without gravity.
  • The exit button has been fixed at the end of the game.
  • The teammates did not appear when they entered the Lobby.
  • Now you can not put the same skill several times.
  • The blocked abilities did not match those selected by the player.
  • Fixed problem of synchronization with the Defaults.

Known errors to correct:

  • The Change Team button in the lobby can produce unexpected behavior.
  • The names of the partners in the character of the Lobby are not correct.
  • In some exceptional cases, the chosen weapons do not match what you actually have within the game.
